Since 1993, the Taiwan Excellence Awards, commissioned by TITA and executed by TAITRA, have selected winners across four pillars: R&D, Design, Quality, and Marketing, establishing the benchmark for Taiwan's industrial innovation.In 2025, the awards expanded across four major medical exhibitions in Thailand, Japan, Germany, and Taiwan. The objective was to create a core visual identity and applications that communicate professionalism, innovation, and reliability on the global stage.Beyond aesthetics, the deeper mission was to build a cohesive brand strategy for Taiwan's medical industry by translating the strengths of its precision manufacturing and ICT ecosystem into a visual language that is not just seen, but understood and remembered.
In a crowded global medical exhibition landscape, Taiwan's defining choice is unwavering care for every person and every detail. Working from a strategic foundation, JL DESIGN developed the core brand narrative for Taiwan Excellence's medical industry: "From Taiwan, With Care." This line was born from a single question: what truly differentiates Taiwan's healthcare on the international stage? The answer lies in decades of tangible achievement: 99.9% national health insurance coverage, medical facilities accessible across the entire island, a #1 global healthcare system ranking by CEOWORLD, and eight consecutive years atop Numbeo's Health Care Index. Together, these achievements validate the trust Taiwan has earned through efficiency, communication, and warmth. System depth, human warmth, and product precision converge to form a competitive advantage that is uniquely Taiwanese and difficult to replicate. This care is brought to life across five key medical domains, including Smart Operating Room, Smart Ward, Digital Health, Healthcare, and AI Diagnostics, translating Taiwan's capacity for integration and problem-solving into a communicative language that international audiences can genuinely feel.
A central visual identity scales across exhibition spaces, digital ads, and physical materials to maintain consistency across four shows in Thailand, Japan, Germany, and Taiwan. The system is built on a "grid and component" framework, where each cell carries a single unit of information. As signals flow between cells, hearts, medical crosses, and gesture symbols gradually emerge, infusing the rational structure with human warmth.
The Key Visual Film anchors its narrative in Taiwan’s five core medical domains, transforming the brand story into a time-based audio-visual experience. Driven by the rhythmic pulse of the grid system, each domain is awakened in sequence, while each beam of light serves as a metaphor for an act of care. Every activation becomes a signal radiating from Taiwan to the world, carrying empathy, expertise, and innovation across borders.
Grey and white form the base, evoking purity, transparency, and trust. Orange is introduced as the primary accent, balancing the intensity of red with the brightness of yellow to carry both passion and hope. It cuts through the cold formality of conventional medical visuals, distilling Taiwan's sense of care into a single, intuitively felt color.
