Summary

In 2013, JL DESIGN created four ident videos for HBO ASIA based on the idea of art installations, redefining the power of content and the media influence of the channel. For the visuals, we portrayed multiple sets of coloured clear glass tubes which are layered in different ways, as well as vibrant fluids that flow within them, to illustrate the wide variety of choices available on HBO.

Mission

We aimed to use motion graphics in the new idents to bring a refreshing feel to HBO ASIA, redefining the influence of the channel and showing the audience the abundant and vibrant content produced by HBO.

Solution

Based upon art installations made of colourful glass tubes and vibrant fluids flowing in them, we created a series of brand-new idents for HBO ASIA to illustrate the wide variety of programmes and content available on the channel.

Impact

Through innovative concepts, we demonstrated the production capacity of the channel and delivered to HBO’s audience brand new image in the ident videos.
